reBOOT Canada receives funding from CIRA to provide community Wi-Fi in indigenous communities in Ontario

CIRAreBOOT Canada has received funding from CIRA for an exciting new project! We are very happy to be part of such a great group of organizations to receive funding for projects involving internet connectivity in indigenous communities.

“CIRA’s support is vital to our work making the internet and devices to access the internet available to everyone. We plan to bring the service to 5 communities in the next 12 months, representing 3500 to 5000 people – and if we do it right, it will lead to longer term employment skills development opportunities for young people within their own  communities.  It starts with a need, an idea about addressing that need and the vision of funders and supporters like CIRA and our donor community.”

Francisco Rota, Executive Director at reBOOT Canada
