This past week we completed the data capture for our assessment of the reCONNECT footprint with report from Montreal completed by one of our donors and volunteers.
We were pleased to see 13 long term care facilities and community centres still had operating computer centres, serving over 5,000 individuals since 2008, although many of the computer centres are and unable to make full use of present day internet access and applications. Our reCONNECT reFRESH initiative is meant to address that, and we're actively seeking donations and corporate sponsorship to support a cross-country refresh of equipment, software and programming. Here's how you can help: A) Does your company have a charitable foundation interested in issues associated with an aging population and access? Send up a quick note at pickup@rebootcanada.ca B) Have you ever donated computers to reBOOT Canada before? It's easy and you'll love the space it frees up - click here to schedule a pickup C) Cash donations - of any amount - are very valuable to us because we can use it right away - click here to make a cash donation. Thanks for your support and interest! The reBOOT Canada Team
