We're delighted to welcome the Rekai Centre at Sherbourne to our reCONNECT v2.0 network.
After meeting initially in December with their student nursing, programming and leadership team, Rekai Centre at Sherbourne and reBOOT Canada have made arrangements to create two computer centres within their facility, serving over 120 residents and using a combination of enhanced desktops and portable laptops. The workstations will be set up on accessible office furniture to accommodate a variety of needs of the residents at Rekai and configurations include webcams and over-sized monitors. Congratulations to the Rekai Centre at Sherbourne. If you think your facility and your clients would benefit from a reBOOT Canada reCONNECT Computer centre too please contact me directly or through our form at www.rebootcanada.ca/resource. reBOOT Canada would like to thank the Association of Registered Graphic Designers for help getting the word out about donating used computers. Through their membership, they're able to reach over 3,000 professionals and companies across the country in the computer-intensive graphic design industry and we very much appreciate it! With our partner Electronic Recycling Services, we'll arrange for pick up within the GTA and can evaluate pick ups beyond depending on volume. Your donation will be assessed and either streamed for responsible recycling out of the ERS facility or refurbishment for use in projects like the Rekai Centre reCONNECT project above. Right now we're calling for any and all used Apple products - contact us through www.rebootcanada.ca/recycle-donate and we’ll coordinate a pick up.
