Located on the grounds of the historic Evergreen [formerly Don Valley] Brick Works, the reBOOT Canada Brick Works storefront is situated on the west side of the campus, occupying its former sales office. While updated with modern amenities, the century-old building retains much of its old-time charm. Stepping through the front door, visitors will find themselves face-to-face with reBOOT Canada’s own take on old-time charm; a display of selected vintage computers. Providing historical context to reBOOT Canada’s legacy through the decades, these venerable examples are also employed as training aids, movie/television props, and heady nostalgia evokers.
Upon their arrival, guests to the reBOOT Canada Brick Works location receive the utmost attention and diligence from attending reBOOT Canada associates. Our interns, co-op students, and volunteers receive ongoing staff-supported skills-development training to ensure their delivering top-notch service and support to you, our clientele. Shift your gaze towards the in-store work bench and you will see members of our Indigenous Youth Tool Kit initiative repairing and refurbishing equipment for redeployment, and resale. Representing young Aboriginal adults aged 18-29, these leaders strive to acquire the technical know-how, business acumen, and real-world experience necessary to service their communities’ IT assets with confidence. Program graduates are provided with the equipment, and ongoing support, required to ensure their continued success in resolving IT woes arising within their particular localities.
